Dr. Heidi Rootes, founder and owner of Surface Skin Lab, believes that everyone should look and feel beautiful. When we love the way we look there is more ambition to live a healthier life. With over 15 years of experience, Dr. Rootes provides her patients with innovative, non-invasive skin rejuvenation treatments to repair, restore and revitalize the skin and body.
Dr. Hadani graduated from McGill’s pre-med program, and from there went on to pursue her Masters of Pharmacy degree. She then realized that she wanted to become more involved in patient care and earned her doctorate from the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine.
Since a young age, Dr. Hadani has always been passionate about beauty and skincare (an interest that she inherited from her mother). She has done extensive research in anti-aging, longevity and dermatology, and has had cosmetic training with renowned international doctors.
Dr. Hadani often jokes that she is happiest with a needle in hand but when she is out of the clinic she enjoys walking the seawall and making healthy gourmet meals at home.
Dr Noshad earned a Bachelor of Health Science degree, major in Biomedicine, Biochemistry and minor in psychology from University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) along with a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine (BINM). She is passionate about bettering the life of her patients through empowerment and self-confidence, and providing medicine that is evidence-based, naturally focused and patient centered.
Dr Noshad’s passion has always been skin health/skincare, anti-aging, aesthetic medicine, longevity and optimal health. She has been working in skincare industry and cosmetics for over 15 years after receiving her MUA and skincare specialization certificate from Germany.
Dr Noshad is trilingual, Farsi, English & German. Her interests aside from medicine are fitness, boxing, running, travelling and exploring the world (visited 24 countries so far), hiking, and any outdoor activities with her dog Micah.

Skin care and beauty has always been my passion! I love helping client’s overcome their insecurities by making them feel confident and comfortable in their bare skin. There is nothing better than seeing my client’s skin transform and progress to their desired result! Having them trust me with their skincare journey is something I don’t take for granted and deeply appreciate.
I began my career as a certified medical aesthetician and skincare specialist 5 years ago after dealing with my own skin care struggles. Since then, I’ve continued to develop my expertise by learning about the newest technologies, treatments, and products in skin care. My empathetic nature, professionalism and expertise knowledge is sure to have all my client’s feeling and looking their best.
